Founded in 2023, Swiss Global Agriculture Limited (SGA) is Uganda’s first company focused on cultivating, processing, and exporting high-quality cannabis in compliance with international standards.
SGA has established operations in Switzerland and Uganda, leveraging Uganda’s ideal climate and engaging experienced multi-preneurs. With support from Swiss investors, SGA has developed advanced cultivation facilities, ensuring adherence to strict quality control measures.
Rising operational costs post-COVID, especially in electricity, have challenged the CBD market. While many competitors have relocated or faced bankruptcy, SGA remains resilient by leveraging strategic advantages and investor backing.
SGA specializes in medical cannabis cultivation and production, aiming to utilize its therapeutic properties while avoiding the sale of edibles, vapes, or smoking products.

These companies were all established in 2023 Swiss Global Agriculture Limited (SGA) was the first to be formed in Uganda. As a startup company, in the global market, SGA focuses on the cultivation, processing, and export of high-quality cannabis adhering to stringent international standards. Seizing this opportunity, the company decided to establish a presence in both Switzerland and Uganda, where conditions were favorable for the cultivation of medical-grade cannabis. The strategic expansion into Uganda provided access to ideal climatic conditions for cultivating high-quality cannabis grown mostly by multipreneurs with profound backgrounds in finances and long-term experience in entrepreneurship making it a perfect fit for the company’s vision.
